Janhavi Sawant

Janhavi Sawant started at Sozo Ventures in September 2021.

She oversees the operations and accounting for Sozo’s management company and works closely with the Controller and CFO on fund reporting and administration. She plays an integral role in analyzing and reporting the financials of portfolio companies for internal review.
Janhavi started her career in finance in Mumbai at State Bank of India, and has nine years of experience in retail banking and customer relationship management. Before joining Sozo, she worked as a Commercial Property Accountant at Steelwave LLC. She has a master’s degree in Accounting & Finance from University of Mumbai, and earned an MBA in Finance from California State University-East Bay. Despite all that schooling, she’s still eager to learn, and regularly enrolls in e-courses. Top of her wish list: the Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst certification course. Definitely not an “easy A.”
